The hotel’s architect, Charles Fitzroy Doll, designed the dining room in 1898 before
recreating its grand interiors for the Titanic’s first-class dining saloon. Today, that same
architectural legacy sets the scene for an Afternoon Tea inspired by the flavours, details
and glamour of the Edwardian era.

Historic inspiration, reimagined.

The menu takes its cues from the flavours and recipes of the Edwardian era, with a modern approach from our pastry and culinary teams. Enjoy Irish smoked salmon and truffled Burford Brown egg mayonnaise, alongside Irish buttermilk scones and the Waldorf pudding scone – inspired by the historic Waldorf pudding served as part of the Titanic’s famous 10-course dinner. Then there are the pastries – each with its own connection to the story. Look out for the ‘D-Deck’ éclair, pistachio macaron, white chocolate and apple petit gâteau, and peach and Chartreuse jelly mousse cake.

Fitz’s Brasserie was originally designed by architect Charles Fitzroy Doll in 1898, creating the grand dining room that forms the heart of the experience today. Doll later drew on his work for the hotel when designing the first-class dining saloon aboard the RMS Titanic.
